Dr Lisa Cameron was first elected as the Member of Parliament for East Kilbride, Strathaven & Lesmahagow in 2015. She was re-elected in 2017 and 2019. Lisa is Chair of both the All-Party Parliamentary Groups for both Disability and Health and was previously a member of the Health & Social Care Committee. 

 

Prior to becoming a Member of Parliament, Lisa worked as a local doctor for 20 years in mental health, learning disability and developmental disorder. She is a qualified Clinical and Forensic Psychologist. She also held a position with the Risk Management Authority (Scotland) where the Court were considering the Order of Lifelong Restriction and was an Expert Witness in cases of Childhood Abuse and Trauma. Lisa was a Unite Representative for 10+ years in the NHS.
