Steven Cochran

Secretary and Social Convenor of BIEN and brain injury survivor

Steven has been Secretary and Social Convenor of BIEN since 2007. BIEN is the brain injury survivor peer group in West Dunbartonshire.

​

Steven has been actively involved in local strategy groups, managed care network, ABI research, and met with senior managers and inspectors over the years regarding services for people affected by brain injury. His advocacy for others has included speaking at local and national events and completing the Partners in Policy making course. In addition Steven is a joint trainer on ABI awareness, delivering sessions to a wide range of practitioners, including GP's, AHP's and Carers.

 

Steven is himself a brain injury survivor and passionately believes in working with practitioners to develop better services for all. His work has included co-producing ‘The Journey’ resource booklet, ‘Getting Your Head Around Brain Injury‘ DVD.

Angela Sprott

ABI Service Coordinator for West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership

Angela has been leading the ABI community rehabilitation service in West Dunbartonshire since 2005. Angela has previously managed residential units, developed community placement services, and been employed as a senior practitioner by statutory Social Work and Voluntary service providers.

 

She has worked in integrated health and social care teams for most of her 40 years in practice and enjoys the opportunities this presents to deliver person-centred effective services which aim to support people achieve their individual outcomes. Angela also offers any support to the BIEN group.
