Professor Tom McMillan

Chair, Clinical Neuropsychology, University of Glasgow

Professor Tom McMillan is the Chair in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Glasgow. He has a clinical lead role with Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board where he is consultant adviser on rehabilitation after brain injury.

 

Associated with the combination of academic and research experience are national roles relevant to brain injury on the Managed Clinical Network for Brain Injury, and as Adviser to the National Head Injuries Association. He has recently been working with the Scottish Government to investigate brain injury in prisoners and advise about the development of services for them.  Tom has worked clinically and in research work with people with head injury for almost forty years, and has almost 200 publications.

 

Tom has received several awards that recognise his contribution over the years including Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Division of Neuropsychology, the International Neuropsychology Society and the British Psychological Society.
