Fionna Balfour

Brain Injury Survivor, Headway East Lothian

Fionna trained as a Computing teacher, latterly she worked supporting pupils and staff with assistive technology. In January 2008 she contracted encephalitis which left her with mild cognitive impairment, generalised anxiety, and no likelihood of getting back to work. Whilst on the outside she looks and can sound fine, inside is another story. It is her mission to spread the word that ABI is a hidden disability.
