Julie King

Occupational Therapist & Lecturer, Royal College of Occupational Therapists Scotland & Queen Margaret University

Julie King is an occupational therapy lecturer at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. Prior to this, her worked was centred on enabling adults living with a neurological and physical conditions to engage with everyday digital technologies to enable participation in meaningful occupations in relation to self- care, leisure and work.  This post was an initially a new are of practice for occupational therapy practice. Research and development of this role continues, but it is an area of practice that continues to evolve. With similar posts being seen in 3rd sector and health and social care partnerships.

Julie is affiliated with several organisations including MCROT and MHCPC. Julie is also a member for specialist section for neurological practice (RCOT) and current board member for RCOT East of Scotland.
