Professor Liam Dorris

NHS consultant paediatric neuropsychologist, Royal Hospital for Children Glasgow, and Honorary Professor, University of Glasgow

Professor Liam Dorris is an NHS consultant paediatric neuropsychologist at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.  He has 25 years clinical experience of working with young people and families following brain injuries and is very interested in the family impacts and the challenges in accessing appropriate health, education and social care on discharge from hospital.  Liam has authored over seventy scientific papers in leading journals including the Lancet, Brain, Developmental Medicine and Brain Injury. He and is an Honorary Professor at the University of Glasgow, former Chair of the Faculty of Paediatric Neuropsychology, and a Fellow of the British Psychological Society. Liam is also particularly pleased to be the Chair of the Local Organising Committee for the 2024 International Paediatric Brain Injury Society conference which will be held in Glasgow.
