Louisa MacKenzie

Outreach Nurse, Robert Ferguson Unit

Louisa is an experienced Mental Health Nurse who has worked within the Scottish Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation Service at the Robert Fergusson Unit since qualifying in 2007. She specialises in supporting individuals with acquired brain injury and associated behavioural needs. As the unit’s Outreach Nurse, Louisa manages referrals, conducts assessments, supports families, coordinates admissions and discharges, and provides ongoing community support. She also contributes to senior nursing duties including staffing, incident management, and developing person‑centred treatment plans. Louisa holds postgraduate qualifications in Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Rehabilitation and Care, and has a strong commitment to high‑quality, collaborative patient care.

Alice Landrock

Occupational Therapist, Robert Ferguson Unit

Occupational Therapist, Alice Landrock, has over 20 years of experience working with people who have an acquired brain injury.  Alice values the importance of individuals participating in society and supports the patients of the Robert Fergusson Unit to become active members of the hospital community, such as engaging in volunteering roles and patient forums.  In addition to leading the occupational therapy team, Alice has an active role the education and career development of students and support staff within NHS Lothian having recently become a work-based assessor for therapy support staff undertaking Scottish Vocational Qualifications.  Alice is involved in service development and is currently supporting the development a network of occupational therapists across the UK who work in the field of neurobehavioral rehabilitation.
