Phelim O’Toole
CEO, Edinburgh Headway Group
Phelim O'Toole is the CEO of the Edinburgh Headway Group, a local charity that provides person-centred rehabilitation and support for adults living with acquired brain injuries. He is highly active in the Edinburgh and Scottish health sectors, regularly guest-lecturing for nursing and occupational therapy students at Edinburgh Napier University and advising on support resources for the Neurological Alliance of Scotland.
Alistair Thomson
Member, Edinburgh Headway Group
Alistair Thomson is a cyber security professional and brain injury survivor. He moved to Edinburgh sixteen years ago with his young family and has made the city home ever since. In 2024 he sustained a brain injury while cycling. He was supported through his recovery by the Edinburgh Headway Group, and continues to work with Headway today. He enjoys walking, tai chi and cooking, and hopes to get back on a bike one day.
