Over 200 people attended the Head Injury Information Day in Dumfries & Galloway.
Held on Thursday 28th April 2016, the event was a great success. In addition to the great number of people attending there were 25 support organisations there to help with support and queries along with a number of presentations.
Dumfries & Galloway (D&G) branch of Headway, the brain injury charity, launched “Dare to Care: Your Life, Your D & G”, a year-long safety initiative.
Launch of Head Injury Information Directory website
A new website, the Head Injury Information Directory, brings together information on organisations providing a range of support services for people affected by brain injury and was unveiled by Digby Brown Solicitors at the event. You can find the Head Injury Information Directory online at www.hiid.org.uk.
Kathleen McMonagle, Digby Brown's Corporate Social Responsibility Manager said: "It was great to welcome so many people to the event and to have so many fantastic organisations in attendance. No-one has to live with a brain injury alone; there is lots of help and support available locally. "The Head Injury Information Directory website has been set up as a resource for those affected by brain injury and I hope individuals and families throughout the region find it useful.
